How it all started…
After 20 years of co-owning and managing a successful yoga studio—that was voted the best in town by the Mountain View Voice nearly every year, alongside a 4.5-star Yelp rating—it all came to an end with the pandemic.
Fortunately, similar to so many of us, I finally had time to reflect on where my life took me—and reconnect with one of my earliest and deepest passions. Ever since I was a child, I was that kid that brought home stray dogs, injured birds or homeless kittens. And the family farm back at home in Latvia, provided early training with horses, cows and sheep. Whether it was a fearful dog who needed a little encouragement and a sense of structure and stability to feel more comfortable or a blind horse that needed extra support, caring for animals always brought me more joy than any other work I’ve done.
I have spent my whole life with dogs, either with my own or helping others. I have taken five trainings on dog behavior with the SPCA and private trainers. I have 10 years of daily horse caring experience and have fostered horses with the DPS Rescue. In 2014, my Tennessee Walking Horse Bandit joined our family and it was the best decision of my life. He brings joy, happiness, and meaning without fail every day.
Whether you have that overly exuberant pup that has to jump on everyone to say hello or one that is more shy and withdrawn, I’d love to get to know them and learn from you and your pet how we can bring out his or her best version.
I feel at my best when I can spend time with your pets and horses and understand their personality—what makes them happy, what triggers their fears, favorite activities, toys, treats—and get as many tails wagging, individually or as a part of our happy crew!
